CarPlay vs. Android Auto
Apple CarPlay provides access to your Music Library, Maps, iMessage, Podcasts, Spotify, and mostly every app you have downloaded onto your phone. However, it’s no surprise that Google’s Android Auto shares similar characteristics to Apple CarPlay. So which one is better? Due to both systems being that they’re at the beginning stage of production, the outcome is not black and white just yet, but they do have a few differences. For instance, right off the bat, Google’s Android Auto was designed with the idea that it could be used on multiple platforms with the ability to easily modify it, remove it, or use it. This provides car manufacturers the option to easily integrate Android Auto with their existing system, whereas in Apple CarPlay, car manufacturers have to adopt the software and implement it into their car models, which brings up the subject matter of integration vs. replacement.
